Exhibition at Musée de La Halle St-Pierre, Paris

As mentioned in the previous post I will be showing at the Musée de la Halle St-Pierre, in Paris.
The show will be starting on March 1st and will be up until the 21st. It will be Alex One, los Panos (chicano prison art) and myself.
There will be an event with a live-painting session by me and Alex One, as well as live tattooing by Easy Sacha on the 11, starting at 6:30 pm. The whole thing is organized for the launch of a new quarterly art publication called "Hey!".
I have the cover and a nice 12 pages interview in the first issue. 144 pages and no ads. Issue #1 will be out on March 11th.

Quick entry to let you know what's coming for this year.

First show of the year was "A Cry for Help", held at Thinkspace gallery, in LA (01-08-10 through 02-05-10)

My next show will be at La Halle Saint Pierre museum in Paris, France. I will be showing alongside Parisian artist Alex One and Los Panos (Chicano prison art). The show will run from March 1st until the 21st. There will be an event during which I will be painting live on the 11th, organized for the launch of a new Parisian-based international Art publication : "HEY!"
This will be my first major exhibition in France since 1998 so I am very excited to show in my hometown again 12 years later !
More information to come soon.

I will then take part in a group show untitled New Brow 3, opening on April 9 at The Alternative Cafe, Seaside, California

...And last but not least, I am very excited and honored to announce that I will be ending the year with a major solo show at the prestigious Jonathan LeVine gallery in NYC. December 11 thru January 8, 2011

“EN MASSE” @ Galerie Pangee, co-curated by Tim Barnard and Jason Botkin, is an explosive encounter between the worlds of fine art, comix, and graffiti on a massive scale. This month long event, running from February 1st to March 1st, will climax with a gigantic bang timed exactly to coincide with the citywide round the clock celebrations of Nuit Blanche!

Long time no post !
So for 2009, I have a couple of shows lined up. The main event and personal challenge that I am very, very excited about is a two-men show with the incredibly talented Shawn Barber at Yves Laroche gallery in Montreal opening on September 2d, alongside with the 7th edition of Art Tattoo Montreal. I just finished my first piece for that show, which is also the promotional image for the convention. I also have a solo show at Thinkspace in LA in November, opening on the 6th.
I also have a couple other projects cooking, including a TV show project.
I will post updates.

DEAD SPACE screening

DEAD SPACE is filmmakers Marielle "Lela" Quesney and Turf One's latest effort, documenting veteran Parisian graffiti writer Psyckoze and his experience in the Catacombs over the last 22 years. The Catacombs are 69 km's of abandoned tunnels, 100 feet below the city of Paris. The film is a portrait of Psyckoze through this abandoned urban landscape and a portrait of the space through the artist. Original music score by Simahlak ,Sixtoo ,Scott C ,Interceiving and more... DEAD SPACE Premiere screening this May and June at the the International Hip Hop Cine Festival in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.

Montreal screening this saturday, May 20th at 4:30 pm at Cinema du Parc, 3575 av. du Parc (Place des Arts metro station)
